The Chinese Petroleum Corporation is the No.1 enterprise in Taiwan with 18,900 employees and a variety of functional units around the island.
 
As a state-run enterprise it is responsible for the development and supply of petroleum and natural gas, and is the core of Taiwan's petrochemical industry.
 
The Chinese Petroleum Corporation (CPC) was founded in Shanghai on June 1st, 1946. It moved to Taiwan in 1949 and has since headquartered in Taipei. Being a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Economic Affairs, CPC is entrusted with the active exploration, development, refining, transportation, marketing and sales of petroleum and natural gas, and has always served as the core of Taiwan's petrochemical production.
 
The newly erected building of Chinese Petroleum is located in the business centre of Taipei, Taiwans capital, besides the popular Warner Village area, the Mitsukoshi Department store and the Word Trade Center of Taipei.
 
In March 2001 OSRAM Taiwan installed nearly 4000 pieces of HF 1x36 DIM and HF 2x36 DIM. The designer uses dimming ECG for outdoor lighting. During the evening the tower glimmers in the changing variety of seven colours ranging from red, blue, green, yellow, pin, purple and white controlled by OSRAM's HF DIM control gear.
